What programs/services do you offer? Shelters or women and children; non-residential services, court/legal advocacy; professional therapy for women, children and men; structured program for children; Spanish and Russian fluency; structured nutrition and meal program
How many people do you serve? In 2010, CASA provided residential and non-residential services to 441 individuals.
What do you love most about your job? We enjoy the opportunity to educate our clients and community about the effects of domestic and sexual violence, and providing assistance and resources to help promote abuse free families.
Describe a time that exemplifies why you do what you do. A former client called us out of the blue one day to say that because of CASA, her kids told her they need nutritious balanced meals every day, and as a family, they write menus every week now.
Is there anything else you would like to mention about your organization? CASA aims to create awareness of the problem posed by domestic and sexual violence. It is our goal to help victims regain a sense of self-worth through education and healthy support networks.
