Central Bank donates to The Food Bank

The Food Bank strives to provide healthy, nutritious meals to all individuals in need, especially children. Although The Food Bank’s mission is simple, making it happen is a great undertaking that grows larger every day. Countless volunteers help organize food drives, help sort and distribute food to the needy, and help raise much needed funds for The Food Bank. The Food Bank, which is based in Columbia, MO, provided 3.2 million pounds of food to Miller County, Morgan County, and Camden County at no cost in 2010. Food was provided to hunger relief agencies and for The Food Bank’s Buddy Pack Program that provides children in need with weekend food and nutritious snacks through a partnership with local elementary schools. photo provided
