Float your Boat for the Food Bank

The truly community-focused event for a community-focused cause invites YOU and your friends and family to come out and support all of our boat racers. Watch as teams who had to design and build a boat out of cardboard race at Phillips Lake Park for glory. Everyone will enjoy this fun-filled exciting event!
- Heats begin at 9 a.m.
- There will be a hotdog vendor on site offering refreshments
- There is no admission to watch the boats race, but we will be accepting nonperishable food donations.
- Additional parking has been provided at neighboring Father Tolton High School and a shuttle will be available.
- Hay bales will be set up for seating, but people are welcome to bring their lawn chairs and/or blankets.
- Celebrity judges for the best sinking, best decorated and best use of cardboard will be Eric Aldrich, KOMU meteorologist; Chris Stevens, Manager, Office of Cultural Affairs, City of Columbia; and Peggy Kirkpatrick, Executive Director of The Food Bank
