Not for Corporate Use. Two young girls looking around from chairSummer Food 4 Kids is a summer program that allows children to receive food when school is out of session.

In 2012-13, nearly every school district The Food Bank serves saw an increase in the number of children qualifying for the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program — 56,000 children in all!  The program provides for children during the school year, but The Food Bank wants to continue meeting the need throughout the summer.

Each Summer Food 4 Kids serves lunches to children at designated. Meals are served as a complete package and have the same meal components as school lunch.

Summer Food 4 Kids is made possible by The Food Bank, general donations, the time and effort of local volunteers, support from our affiliate, Feeding America and the Federal Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
