Sharing food and bringing hope
The Food Bank shares food with neighbors by accepting donations, using our incredible bulk purchasing power to buy food and distributing it at no charge to partners in 32 counties. You can get food near you from a partner in your area or, if you’d like to support the work we do, consider making a gift or volunteering your time.
How We Get Food
The Food Bank helps neighbors who are experiencing food insecurity or are affected by a natural disaster.
As a member of Feeding America, we work with manufacturers, wholesalers, processors, growers, retailers, restaurants and the U.S. Department of Agriculture to buy food at reduced costs and to secure donations and other funds. The Food Bank receives food by donation and regularly purchases food — on average, we distribute more than 1 million pounds every couple of weeks.
How We Share Food
The Food Bank partners with more than 140 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other agencies to give food to those who need it. Also, we work with more than 200 schools to help students get nutritious food every weekend of the school year.
We provide food at no charge to our partners, which means hunger-relief partners across our service area can distribute it to their communities and more easily afford to operate.
