Workplace giving with The Food Bank can help your team harness their collective power for good in a way that works for your organization. Your support will help set a place at the table for our neighbors, and engaging with The Food Bank is a simple way to help motivate your team and make an impact in the community. The Food Bank team is available to help each step of the way, and you’ll be able to share the real-world impact that your support provides to neighbors.
Match Gifts
Gift-matching is an effective way to inspire others in our community to support a fund drive or event:
- Employee match – Consider matching your employees’ donations to a particular event sponsored by The Food Bank or to The Food Bank's general fundraising.
- Donor match – Consider offering a match for every donation made (1) to a specific event or drive, or (2) for a specified period, regardless of whether the donations came from your employees.
Some donors prefer to remain anonymous, while others like to offer their names to help increase awareness of their brand and of The Food Bank’s mission.
Volunteer as a Team
The Food Bank’s events and drives would not be possible without volunteers, including corporate groups and organizations that choose to give their time. Many also choose to do reoccurring service, including at The Food Bank Market. Your group's support through sponsorship and volunteerism shines a light on your community engagement and makes a difference for neighbors.
Join our Giving Circle
The Food Bank’s Giving Circle is made up of individual and corporate donors committed to making a difference for food security now and into the future. Our Garden Society recognizes corporate donors and organizations who have made lifetime gifts equaling $10,000 or more. These members are integral to The Food Bank’s operations and receive the latest news regarding issues impacting our work and special recognition in print and digital materials.
Learn & Advocate
Individuals and groups alike can take action - big or small - to reduce stigma around food insecurity. Learning about need in our community, advocating for food security for all and volunteering can help The Food Bank and encourage other community members to learn about and commit to taking action against hunger.
Host an Event
You can support The Food Bank in many ways, and your event can be as unique as your organization. Sponsoring an event or volunteering at a drive is a great way to get involved, but if you have another way to collaborate that would be meaningful to your organization and our neighbors, please reach out to us so we can discuss it!
Doing Good is Good for Business
The Food Bank is incredibly grateful for the multi-faceted support of corporate groups like MEM. Their generosity has made an amazing impact for neighbors facing hunger in our 32-county service area, as well as in Boone County through their support of The Market. In addition to their annual matching gift campaign and support of our capital campaign, they regularly advance their impact through volunteering at The Market and our food and fund drives.
