Market 2 Meal
The Food Bank’s nutrition team and community partners regularly offer food tastings and cooking demonstrations at The Market. The team helps our community learn more about preparation and storage of seasonal produce and legumes as well as healthy recipes that use foods that can be found right on the shelves of The Market.
Access a library of recipes and try tasty and nutritious dishes at home - many of them made with ingredients you can regularly find at The Market!
Planting for the Pantry
Columbia Center for Urban Agriculture’s Planting for the Pantry program farms urban spaces specifically for The Market and other partners who fill gaps to provide access to fresh food for all.
CCUA’s dedication to intentionally growing nutritious food for our neighbors brings tens of thousands of pounds of fresh produce, including fruits, vegetables and herbs, to our community each year. In addition, CCUA’s container garden is located on the west side of The Market and provides greens, herbs, sweet potatoes and more for distribution.
Want to learn more about preparing and storing fresh produce? Access The Food Bank and CCUA’s video series to learn more - or check out our visiting services calendar to see when CCUA will be at The Market to offer gardening advice and more.
