At The Food Bank, we’re all about action: helping neighbors, connecting with donors, organizing volunteers and thinking through the next step that can improve the experience for our partner agencies and those they serve. It might be that action mindset that makes American Outdoor Brands, Inc. an exciting partner for our organization. Located in Columbia, MO, American Outdoor Brands carries products for outdoor sports and recreation, including products for hunting, fishing, camping, climbing, shooting and more. As you can imagine, they’re all about the next adventure, too.

American Outdoor Brands began to sponsor The Food Bank in 2021 as part of our Taste of the Tigers event. In addition to sponsorship, the company provided an outstanding $4,275 in items to help The Food Bank raise money through a live auction. The items they donated appealed greatly to outdoor adventurers and hunters who are part of The Food Bank community: tents, sleeping bags, filet knives, ground blinds, game cameras and more were all popular and spoke to event attendees with a passion for the outdoors.

American Outdoor Brand’s engagement didn’t end with Taste of the Tigers, though. Earlier this spring, the company hosted an internal fundraiser to support Float Your Boat, which relaunched this year after being postponed in 2020 and 2021. Like American Outdoor Brands, the Float Your Boat event is about excitement, innovation and adventure, which makes the collaboration even more fun.

Manager of Transportation Logistics Allen Blankenship emphasizes that American Outdoor Brands was proud to partner with The Food Bank to better support the community. "AOB’s culture starts with our motto, 'we work where we play.' We’re passionate about the outdoors and that passion extends to the communities where our employees live."
